Background

Established for over a century, Stadium was formed in 1911 as a plastics and automotive parts manufacturer. The electronics assembly business was established in 1984 as a key manufacturing partner to Black & Decker and over the 30 years that followed, a number of strategic investments took place including the purchase of a Chinese manufacturing plant in 2000 and two sizeable acquisitions of UK-electronics assembly businesses in 2008 and 2014.

In 2016 the Hartlepool (UK) facility was established as the leading European Manufacturing Centre of Excellence for the group with key investments including a significant SMT equipment upgrade, the build of two technology focused production hubs for power products and wireless devices, and a high calibre recruitment programme.

The wider Group portfolio of design-led technologies and manufacturing services bring proven added value through the ability to source power, interface and wireless solutions with electronics assembly and manufacturing services from Stadium Group resulting in optimum pricing, smarter technology integration, a single test solution and reduced time to market.

A subsidiary of Stadium Group Plc, the company was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1996.
